“Undead” is a solid track, but don’t you think they sound a bit contrived? and outdated for that matter?
I hyped Hollywood Undead on Everhype.com and gave them 64% which I think is fairly accurate.

chris this band is better than slipknot…. they are new, they put a sick twist on their music and they have cool original sounds…. dont hate man hollywood undead rox!

Alright i gotta admit these dudes are pretty cool looking then again i don’t know are they posers? either way i still like it, it wasn’t something i was expecting from a rap group. The masks thing bothers me a lil i just don’t know where they’re trying to get at? who are they trying to be? are they doing it just to be noticed? is there any good material that they created themselves or did they steal it from someone much better than them to gain popularity for the wrong reasons. Their masks look dangerously close to slipknot’s masks and by looking at these guys i see less style and material of their own, well not all of it. I hope you’re not taking away something from slipknot cause that would be gay as fuck i’m hoping that that’s not the case. I don’t know any rappers who where masks so it feels a lil bit like “i don’t know about these guys?”. One of the guys in the group looks pretty acceptable the one with the sunglasses and bandana that’s the closest thing to being rap styled that i can think of all the others didn’t seem to keep the “rap” idea. Sorry if i sound like i’m putting you down negatively i apologize a part of me thinks you’re really tight and could have good talent but the other part of me is being cautious. But they still look very close to slipknot’s it’s turning me off a lil cause slipknot did come first F.Y.I. so just be smart not stupid p.s. i didn’t say you suck or i don’t like you i just need more clarification is all. I didn’t see the part where you say “we are our own thing we didn’t copy slipknot nor copy their style we are respectful to other bands”. If i saw that coming from one of you guys i wouldn’t think less about you i just need to hear that one part.

By watching you’re music video i didn’t know if i liked it or not. It seemed like you were trying REALLY HARD but in a bad way. I don’t know get rid of the masks then maybe i’ll take away what i said about being you posers cause i think you’ll look better without them. The mask thing isn’t necessary plus i can’t even see if your mouths are moving due to the masks how do i know if it’s really you guys and not some other group singing? remember what happened to milli vanilli yeah so….be wise don’t try and be something you’re not cause that will turn a lot of people off. Again i make areally good point i don’t care what these other people say about me it’s true what i’m saying. You can like them folks if you feel bad but if they’re not doing it the way they say they’re doing it then uh oh these guys are in trouble do some research on these guys i didn’t get much and that concerns me.

To be honest with you folks i checked them out again i listened to them again and i love it now, so i take back what i said before lol. But you have to admit they’re pretty scary for a rap group it looks right up my alley and now everytime i see their album cover it makes me wanna get it, it’s that kinda group where everyone will be raving about it to themselves that they all have it and those who don’t have it are missing out and are a fool for not having it. Now i don’t think they’re copying slipknot anymore i think this is who they are i don’t think their intention is to pose. I look forward to buying this cd i haven’t got it yet but it’s on my list.

Oh, you dirty assholes crying “omg posers, slipknot”.
No, their masks are much different. Especially now in 2009. They used to be a half scene/emo/rap band. Now they’re coming back as rock/alternative/hiphop/rap… very diverse. I worship these guys. Own every piece of Merch… meeting them in a month and going to a concert. Can’t wait… I need to find Deuce’s jacket from this picture though, haha.
And no, they don’t steal or rip off of anyone’s music. These guys are original and talented. I love them.

Heard Undead, like em a lot. Saw some photos and talk of emo, hoped it wasn’t true. I don’t care if you wear masks. In fact, I very much support it if it is because you don’t want to famous (like Daft Punk). they always wore masks so they could still be real people when not performing.
