Celebrity Idiots of the Week

James “Sandman” Fullington was arrested last night at the La Lanterna restaurant in Yonkers for throwing glasses at employees of the restaurant. When officers arrived, he started throwing glasses at them and two officers suffered cuts on the hands and arms. He was subdued and charged with second degree assault, a felony, third degree criminal mischief, also a felony, second degree reckless endargement and resisting arrest. He was taken to jail for psychiatric evaluation. According to an eye witness, police pulled guns on him in the incident at the birthday party for Louis Albano (the one and the same). Fullington was bleeding badly as the owner of the restaurant to try and subdue him threw a beer bottle which hit Fullington in the face.
For those of you that aren’t into wrestling, Fullington’s “Sandman” character is a violent alcoholic who likes to hit people in the head a lot. It’s nice to see that, in an age when the internet has ruined the suspension of disbelief that used to be such a vital part of wrestling, someone is still trying to protect kayfabe.
But even that act of monumental stupidity isn’t enough to earn Fullington the title of “Celebrity Idiot of the Week”…
Rapper DMX was arrested in Phoenix over the weekend for giving a false name and social security in an attempt to dodge a $7500 bill at an Arizona clinic. If you’re keeping score at home, this marks the FIFTH TIME DMX has been arrested in the past two and a half months.

* On May 9, 2008 Simmons was arrested for possession of drugs and weapons. Stemming from the August search of the rapper’s home, the police searched his home twice, finding a number of mistreated pitbull puppies as well as a number of drugs and weapons.
* On June 23, 2008 DMX was arrested in Miami on a warrant for not having a valid driver’s license. He was picked up Monday afternoon at around 1:30 p.m. for the warrant. X was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Monday afternoon, as of 5:30 p.m. His bond is set at $500.
* On June 27, 2008 DMX was arrested in Miami for attempting to buy cocaine and marijuana.
* On July 2, 2008 DMX was arrested in Phoenix at Sky Harbor airport after arriving from Miami for outstanding warrants and failing to appear in court. His bond is $1075 for driving without a license and $10000 for previous drug charges on May 9th.
* On July 19, 2008 DMX was arrested at a Phoenix mall on suspicion that he gave a false name & Social Security number to a hospital to get out of paying for medical expenses.[18]DMX is suspected of having used a false name, “Troy Jones” and failed to pay a $ 7,500 bill to Scottsdale’s Mayo Clinic in April. Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said DMX’s bond had not been set, and if he remains in 4th avenue jail, he would be isolated from the rest of the inmates for his own safety. “They may not like his music.”
For his sake, I hope his bail bondsman offers frequent customer discounts.
